Volunteer Testimonies It would be impossible for us to fulfill our mission without our fantastic volunteers who donate over 14,789 hours per year.
Here are some of their testimonies:

I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve at Our Daily Bread. Beginning as a middle school student and continuing on now into adulthood, I enjoy seeing how much my effort and time is appreciated by those who are in such need. Now the cycle is continuing as my two elementary age daughters volunteer with me! - Erin

After having surgery, my daughter became concerned that I might become a “couch potato”. Seeing that our church bulletin was asking for Our Daily Bread volunteers, she said, “Dad, if you will give a day, I’ll join you.” Now, fifteen years later and with three generations of our family volunteering at Our Daily Bread, it has become one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. “Give and you shall receive.” - Graham

Gods Work. Our Hands. Christ calls us to serve in His name. I am humbled to do just a small part to serve His people in His name and love. I receive more than I am able to give. – Pastor Rosemary Backer

I am proud to say I have been an Our Daily Bread volunteer since 1995. I look forward to each Friday when I meet other volunteers there to serve a meal to several hundred people who come to the dining room. I especially enjoy having my teenaged grand children and other young adults help to serve the meal. It gives them an insight into the joy of helping others. It is a very rewarding experience! - Ellie

My wife and I have been volunteering at Our Daily Bread for over 20 years and it is hard to put into words the joy and blessings we have received from helping the hungry and needy in our community. – Mark & Peggy

I consider being a volunteer at Our Daily Bread a valuable gift that I appreciate and treasure. - Diane

A definite highlight of my volunteer experiences is the few hours I spend each month at Our Daily Bread serving meals to those in need. - Dee
